General access to the Gundam Metaverse project launches in the US and Japan from October 11th to 23rd, 2023. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and the opening of the official Gundam Metaverse EC store, Bandai Spirits is launching pre-orders for Kunio Okawara Master Grade 1/100 Freedom Gundam Ver. 2.0 [Real Type Color] on October 17th. The kit will be released in January 2024 for 5,500 Yen.

The kit will also be available for pre-order at the official USA Premium Bandai store on October 16th at 11pm EDT and will be released in March 2024 for $55.

The kit shares the same molds with the MG 1/100 Freedom Gundam Ver. 2.0 provided with "Real Type" colorways and decals designed by mechanical designer Kunio Okawara.

Kunio Okawara also released some of his own illustrated images showing the color schemes for both Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam real type color version through the Gundam SEED Freedom special site for the "Real Type" project.
